Epicosity, a full-service marketing agency located in Sioux Falls, SD, is looking to hire a Content Marketing Specialist

As the cornerstone of our agency's content marketing efforts, the Content Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the development and execution of content strategies that align with our client’s business objectives. This role demands a unique blend of strategic insight and creative execution, acting as a bridge between our content creators and the strategic vision of our agency as well as our clients. Through close collaboration, the Content Marketing Specialist ensures that content resonates with our target audience and adheres to the strategic roadmap for dissemination across optimal channels.

The Opportunity

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Content Planning: Work from the selected communication channels to craft a comprehensive content marketing strategy that supports the client’s goals, emphasizing audience targeting, content theming, and channel selection based on audience preferences and behaviors.
  • Content Calendar Management and Distribution: Oversee the creation and maintenance of a content calendar, scheduling all content activities to ensure a consistent and strategic distribution across chosen channels.
  • Audience Engagement: Develop strategies to boost audience engagement, utilizing interactive content formats and tailored engagement tactics for each channel.
  • Synchronize Content Plan with Paid Media Plan: Review media plan provided by Media Planner / Buyer and align promoted post budgets and content prioritization.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze content performance, using metrics to assess engagement, reach, and conversion, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
  • Channel Management: Oversee and ensure a positive presence on client social and web channels where assigned. This can include content and community moderation, triaging of support questions to client support staff, cross posting, and community engagement.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise with content creators, internal and external stakeholders to align content with strategic goals and ensure it supports broader marketing campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate strategy, progress, secure buy in from AE’s and Growth Strategists, and communicate results to stakeholders, demonstrating how content initiatives contribute to business goals.
  • Solution Development: Innovate industry-specific offerings, particularly for clients in the higher education and financial institution sectors, ensuring our content marketing services are tailored, effective, and evolve over time.
  • Sales and Business Development Support: Act as a strategic advisor and participant in client pitches, providing expertise on content marketing strategies, scopes of work, and pricing to help secure investments in our content marketing practice area.
Technical Skills & Tools

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications in content marketing, digital marketing, project management, or related fields are advantageous.
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, with a track record on achieving measurable growth in brand awareness and lead generation
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and content management tools (e.g., HubSpot, GAIN, AI writing aids) and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic sales and negotiation skills, with a knack for engaging potential clients and persuading them of the value of our content marketing solutions.
  • Innovative service design and market insight, with a thorough understanding of the higher education and financial institution sectors to anticipate trends and opportunities.
